Hunter Weekend

Earlier in August i managed to escape to the Hunter Valley for a girls weekend. I'd never been before and always wanted to go to check out the wine tours. We stayed at the Crowne which was so serene and beautiful and we indulged on buffet breakfasts each morning - major win!
We went to 4 wine tastings and were educated on how to distinguish between a good wine and those of the cheaper varieties which was pretty interesting. Our last stops were the cheese shop and chocolate shop -yum. All in all it was a great relaxing weekend, it doesn't get any better than indulging on a giant margarita and reading the paper on a sunny Sunday morning.

Sweet treats and wine at Taste

A couple of weeks ago, while every Tom Dick and Harry was heading down to future music, i made my way to the Taste festival and i couldn't have been more excited. I enjoyed music festivals when i was 18 but now at the tender age of 22 i think i found something else to keep me occupied - food festivals! The weather was amazing and so was the endless amount of wine tasting and eating. I was so excited when i saw the array of macaroons on hand and the Hugo's bar to enjoy a chilli prawn pizza. It wasn't the greatest afternoon for my waistline, but what the heck i enjoyed every minute!
